From surgeons and salons to photographers and art programmes, we know how important it is for your website to showcase your offering and drive prospective customers.

We keep website design clean, straight-forward and data-driven. We know from experience that the most effective websites have punchy-content, high-res images and a speedy performance.

The Web Design Process

  • Drop us an email or contact us and let us know a bit about you and your business, including if you have a website already, if you own the domain (and who your host is), and/or if you’re looking to have a website built from scratch. Bonus points if you also know how many pages you would like on your website - this will speed up providing you with a quote.

  • We will provide you with an estimated cost for your website, and leave you some time to think about it. Once we get the go ahead, we then send over an invoice for a 50% deposit up front. We will also agree a timeline for delivery and a deadline for the website to go live.

  • We will set you up with a shared Google Drive, and label the folders with where you need to add your written content, images and resources.

  • Design time! We’ll be working hard behind the scenes to design, develop and build your website. We’ll drop in with updates throughout the process, and come back to you if we need any further info.

  • Once the design is complete, you will receive your first draft of the website. We will ask you to come back to us within 4 weeks with any edits, tweaks or changes. During this time we will be working on your SEO and linking your website up to Google my Business and Google Analytics.

  • Once you’ve given us the final approval, we will make your website live to the public. This is when you will receive your final invoice - the remaining 50% of payment.

Website Design FAQs

  • We’ve made our website design packages as flexible as possible to suit a range of businesses. We’re not silly with our pricing, we get it - we’ve all got bills to pay. We keep in line with the competition and price our website designs based on our skill, experience and the quality of our delivery.

    Our website design services are based on an hourly rate and we’ll always provide you with a quote prior to design, so you’ll have an idea of the cost upfront.

    Website pricing can differ lots depending on what you need, but to give you an idea, the lowest amount our clients have paid is £600 and the most is £4,200. We know some agencies charge upwards of £6,000 - but this is usually for websites coded from scratch.

    We keep you in the loop throughout the build and let you know how many hours we’ve completed, so there’s no nasty surprises at the end. We also offer payment plan options, with most websites paid in two instalments.

  • Ideally you will provide the bulk of the content for your website - especially written content and photographs. We can edit our end to ensure your writing is SEO-friendly (liked by Google), but you know your business better than anyone, so we always prefer it if you can provide us with a starting point. You do also have the option of using our copywriting services, which will be quoted for separate to your website design.

  • To us, no. To Squarespace, yes. You can find out more about their hosting fees here.

    If you choose to work with us, we have a 10% discount code, and will advise you on the best subscription package.

  • Mostly, yes. We have occasionally edited the odd Wix or Wordpress website for clients, but don’t usually take on this type of work as it’s not our area of expertise.

  • We work with businesses of all shapes and sizes, and after lots of research, we’ve found that Squarespace websites are the most user-friendly and affordable for hosting fees. This means you can edit the site yourself once it’s live, and you don’t need to rely on a coder or web developer (unless you need more advance enhancements).

  • Absolutely. We work with clients on an ad-hoc basis. Let us know the changes you’d like made, and we’ll provide you with an hourly quote. We work in partnership with other freelancers, so if we can’t take the work on, we can usually sign-post you to someone who can.

  • Yes, we can certainly offer you back-end training so you know how to edit your website. For larger-scale websites, this is included in your quote, for smaller websites, this is an optional add-on after the site is live.
